I offer a variety of counseling services with an eclectic approach depending on the needs of the client. I utilize many different techniques grounded in current evidence based practice and theories. My main therapy focus is cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which helps people understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how all three work together and influence each other.
I help people learn how to identify and change negative, destructive, or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior.
The goal of cognitive behavior therapy is to teach people that while they cannot control every aspect of the world around them, they can take control of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and they can understand and manage how they interpret things in their environment.
Instead of allowing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to control you, I will help you to control them.
